HB 2598 Signed Into Law!

Great news! Governor Abbott has now signed HB 2598 into law. This means that we are officially no longer LSSPs beginning September 1, as the title will change to school psychologist in the state occupation and education codes. See the FAQ document linked here for a breakdown of what this change means for you as a Texas school psychologist! This will be great to share with your SPED directors, HR Department and other hiring staff.

2025 Summer Institute On Demand Package Open Now!

The live summer institute is a wrap, but there is still time for you to join us for our virtual on demand sessions! You can earn up to 6 CPDs including a session focused on ethical practices in supervision! You can learn more and register for the package here.

Call for Mini Skills and Poster Sessions for the Fall Convention

If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a poster or mini-skills for the 2025 TASP Fall Convention on Nov. 6-8, 2025 in Sugar Land, Texas, you can complete the submission form here. The Proposal application window is open now through September 15th.

Mini-Skills sessions are designed to provide skills and information that will be immediately applicable for practitioners (“tools to use on Monday morning”). Mini-skills sessions need to be 90-minutes in length.
