Registration for the 2021 Texas Association of School Psychologists' Fall Convention is now open! For more information regarding speakers, hotel accommodations, and online registration, head on over to the Convention page on our website.  Hotel discounts and early registration both end on October 4th!

The 2021 Fall Convention will be face-to-face and held Thursday through Saturday, November 4th-6th, at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center in Georgetown, Texas. Parking is also free of charge! This year's theme is “Together Stronger, United We Thrive”. TASP is excited to once again be able to provide a place for fellowship and networking, and are also committed to providing a safe environment to do so. The convention meeting space at the Sheraton uses a MERV 17 air filtration system with up to 99% non-recycled air. Guestrooms pull air from outside and each room has its own filter, so no recycled air is used. We will provide updates on safety protocols as we get closer to convention.

This year, we are offering an exciting variety of topics! Pre-convention topics include assessment of English language learners and a session on the MIGDAS 2.  Regular convention session topics will include social justice in schools, meeting the needs of LGBTQ+ students, a variety of ethics offerings, assessment of deaf and hard of hearing learners and minoritized children, sensible strategies for school-based counseling, trauma informed schools, supervision, epilepsy, trainer’s session, and graduate student series. TASP will also offer three keynote sessions. You read that right! Three! There will be one keynote for each day of convention. This includes the TASP Convention Kickoff, as well as sessions provided by Dr. Charles Barrett and Dr. Laurie Klose.

TASP continues to use open registration for the regular convention sessions.  Attendees won’t be required to select individual sessions at the time of registration. Sessions will only be available on a first come, first serve basis at convention.  To ensure the best availability, attendees are encouraged to arrive early or on time at the session of their choice.  Attendee QR codes will be scanned upon entrance to document attendance, which is necessary in order to receive credit for continuing professional development (CPD).  Once the session reaches the allowable room capacity limit, the session will be closed and additional attendees will not be allowed to enter the session.  As in the past, attendees MUST be scanned within the first 15 minutes of the session in order to be counted present.
