2025 Fall Convention Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I register for sessions?
TASP will use open registration and sessions will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. To ensure the best availability, attendees are encouraged to arrive early or on time at the session of their choice. Attendees will use a link or QR code to access a session attendance form, which must be completed to mark your attendance to the session. This is necessary in order to receive credit for continuing professional development (CPD). Once a session reaches the room capacity limit, the session will be closed and additional attendees will not be allowed to enter the session. Please be respectful and professional with the volunteers who are managing the room attendance. Attendees must complete the attendance form within the first 15 minutes of the session in order to be counted present. Completion of the completion of the attendance form will be time stamped.
2. Where do I go to get the session handouts?
Session handouts are available on the Fall Convention Hub Page. Session handouts and resources from sessions are posted and made available as they are received by the presenters. Not all of our presenters elect to share their presentation content with attendees.
3. How do I access the On Demand/Video sessions?
If you registered for the pre-recorded, on-demand access, you will be able to access the sessions on the TASP online learning platform, which will be linked to the convention hub page. login will be required for the online platform.
The on-demand sessions will be available starting on the first day of the fall convention, Thursday, November 6th, and they will remain open until Wednesday, December 31st. Be sure to complete the CPD requirements by the deadline to receive your CPDs. (See proof of CPD section & policy).
4. How do I know if the session counts for ethics or distinct populations?
Though the intended NASP domains are listed for each session, it is the responsibility of each individual licensee to determine if CPD sessions meet the licensure requirements related to ethics or distinct populations. pursuant to Texas administrative code (TAC) 463.35, licensees of TSBEP are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of professional development during each two-year period they hold a license. the hours must be directly related to the practice of psychology. of these 40 hours, a minimum of 6 hours must be in the area of ethics. Also, out of the 40 required hours, 6 hours must be designed to ensure competency when providing services to a distinct population (previously a cultural diversity requirement, update effective July 20, 2025). Please note, pursuant to TAC 463.35(h), the TSBEP does not pre-approve professional development hours. if you have any questions, please contact TASP’s professional development chair at [email protected].
5. What do I do if I need proof of CPDs?
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) policy: in order to maintain our status as a NASP approved provider, all attendees must meet the attendance and evaluation requirements to receive CPD for a session.
Live session requirements:
- Scan the QR code provided for the session and complete the attendance document at the beginning of the session. TASP volunteers will be in every session room to assist and answer any question you may have. You must have scanned the QR code and completed the linked attendance document no later than 15 minutes from the session start time for your attendance to be valid. If there is an issue with the QR code in a session, please see the TASP volunteers for assistance.
- Attend the entire session.
- Complete the electronic evaluation for the specific session following attendance of the session. This will be available on the TASP website. A QR code will also be provided at the end of each session, for your convenience. You must complete the session evaluation prior to the evaluation deadline of 11:59 pm, Saturday, November 15th for your evaluation to be valid. In order to ensure a smooth process of adding CPDs to your transcript, please be sure to complete the evaluation with the same email address as your registration.
It is the responsibility of the attendee to meet both the attendance and evaluation requirements for each session if they wish to have CPD documentation. TASP will be unable to provide CPD for a session if the requirements are not met.
On-Demand/Video session requirements:
- Login to the TASP online learning platform and view the entire session, including all components (if multiple are provided).
- Complete the post-test with a minimum score of 75%. The post-test will be open on the online platform only after the entire session is viewed.
- Complete the post-session evaluation for the specific session no later than 11:59pm, Wednesday, December 31st. The post-session evaluation will be open on the online platform only after the post-test is passed.
If these requirements are completed, CPD credit will be added to the attendee’s ‘My CPD Transcript’ on the TASP website (login required) following the deadlines noted above. TASP transcripts meet TAC 463.35(d) requirements for acceptable designation, and additional certificates will not be provided. For help accessing your transcript, please see the tutorial video here.
