2026 TASP Fall Convention

Call for Proposals

TASP is now accepting proposals for speakers for the 2026 Fall Convention in Denton, Tx on November 5-8, 2026. We encourage practitioners, trainers, and professionals from related fields to apply. Submissions are due by June 30th, 2026.

Proposals will be carefully reviewed by our selection committee, and applicants will be notified in a timely manner regarding the status of their submission.

PRESENTATION TYPES

Workshop - 2-3 hours

Workshops are intended to provide intensive skills development for attendees that range from introductory to advanced content. Presentations should incorporate evidence-based interventions, best practices, research, and data-based decision making. A wide range of topics are encouraged, however, advanced skills for experienced practitioners are specifically sought. 

Mini-Skills - 1.5 hours

In-depth, hands on training are the goal of mini-skills presentations. Attendees should be provided with practical strategies, tools, and resources that can be implemented upon return to their districts.

Posters Presentations - 1 hour

Posters are designed to highlight empirical research, innovative programs, and theoretical analysis of previous studies. The presentation should represent original work. Students, researchers, and professionals are encouraged to submit individually or as part of a research group. 

On-Demand Sessions/Webinars

Current topics of interest include social justice in schools, school safety and crisis, government and professional advocacy, graduate student voice, and school psychology shortages. 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All proposal submissions must include the session information, an abstract, a session summary, NASP domain information, and a target audience.

Session Information

Session information must include

  • Title of the proposed work
  • Names, titles, and affiliations of editor(s)/author(s)
  • Date of submission

Abstract

The abstract should be no more than 150 words in length. It should summarize the focus of the presentation, including the learning objectives of the presentation/poster. Please do not use any personal identifying information in your abstract.

Session Summary

The summary should meet size requirements (400 words or less for mini-skills and posters, 800 words or less for all others). This section should include a summary of the purpose and research-based content of the presentation/poster. It should also discuss how the proposed work will contribute to the field, emphasizing its relevance to school psychology and NASP’s practice model. Please do not use any personal identifying information in your summary.

Each proposal should align with 1-3 of the NASP Practice Model Domains:

  • Domain 1: Data Based Decision Making
  • Domain 2: Consultation and Collaboration
  • Domain 3: Academic Interventions and Instructional Support
  • Domain 4: Mental and Behavioral Health Services and Interventions
  • Domain 5: School-Wide Practices to Promote Learning
  • Domain 6: Services to Promote Safe and Supportive Schools
  • Domain 7: Family-School Collaboration Services
  • Domain 8: Equitable Practices for Diverse Student Populations
  • Domain 9: Research and Evidence-Based Practice
  • Domain 10: Legal, Ethical, and Professional Practice
